We've already entered a collision course with capitalism's biggest festival of the year.

The shops are gonna be filled with miserable shoppers buying millions of pounds worth of pointless goods and all done from a sense of guilt. Most people don't even know what Christmas is about or why its celebrated.

Sheep-like these ordinary folk will get poorer as the festival gets closer whilst the capitalists get richer by the minute.

But making money is not the primary aim of Christmas. Christmas is about children. A CEO once said if you can get them hooked on your product by the age of two and keep them hooked till eight you'll have a customer for life. Applied to capitalism as a whole it becomes clear that the most important part about Christmas is its potential to condition or brainwash the young. Get them hooked whilst young and you'll have good little consumer citizens for life. And best thing is they'll teach their kids the same thing.

Jesus never celebrated Christmas and neither did his diciples. Why should we?

So the only question that remains now is what are we gonna do about it?

Pointless Christmas?

well i'm sure my family thinks otherwise, it's a time to meet loved ones u havn't seen all year, a time to give a token gift, a time to remember the real point of life and reflect on the positive action you have taken.

Yes, the corporate greed is shameful, Yes, the religious hype is a crime - but so what? is that our world? No.

we celebrate christmas because at this time of year we want to be close to the ones we love and to be comforted in the arms of our families. this world is harsh enuff - don't make this event pointless please.

Jesus? who gives a toss about wether fictitious anarchist celebrated it or not? - redendant argument - we celebrate because we want to (and any excuse for a piss up is worth it) So in Mamon & Bachus'es name - a happy belated Christmas* to you all

* Saturnalia
* Solstice
* Jebus Day
* Whatever
